Excerpt from a letter from Mr. Armitage to his fans on December 24, 2011.
Yes, Thorin’s face gets covered until we all learn how to get along and be respectful towards each other. These are blogs, if you don’t like what someone else does, don’t look at it. It’s easy. Live and let live. The more bloggers, the more love for Mr. Armitage.
Again, in Mr. Armitage’s own words:
“…So please, once more, let me implore you to put your grievances aside and enjoy the fun. If it stops being fun, then it must stop altogether. I am really proud to have such a united fan base and I love the fact that I can keep things informal and have contact with you all. I am determined this will not change but if it all falls apart because the ‘foundations are cracked’, it would be such a great shame. I do not favour one site over another which is why I have asked for my messages to be distributed to anyone who wants to post it. There is room for everyone.
I get quite a few very personal letters telling me how this community has helped them through difficult times or given them a great hobby, so I suppose the letters which tell me how upset the community has made them, is all part of the ebb and flow. I just ask you to look after each other, thats all. There are quite a few sensitive souls lingering out there which need protecting not to mention the younger members who are looking at you as role models. This angst goes against everything I believe in, I think you know that.
“To live and let live, without clamour for distinction or recognition; to wait on divine love; to write truth first on the tablet of one’s own heart – this is the sanity and perfection of living.”
~ Mary Baker Eddy”

Amen, and amen. Thank you for sharing this reminder from the wonderful Mr. A himself.
Thank you for this lovely reminder! I think we all need this in such a tough time for our community

A lovely reminder to all Richard Armitage fans!

I have no idea what happen so we had to supoort a common sense idea like this one. That makes me think that i follow the dramma-free people and that makes mw feel good. Although it is sad to think that we have to remind this to ourselves. Anyways let’s keep the love flowing we all have the same interest, and as long as it is expressed respectfully there is room for everybody
I agree with everything said! Let’s be kind to each other. We are all different but we can share our love of RA in a kind and respectful way!
Amen!!
Thanks Snickers’ Mom for posting this wonderful excerpt! I love his writings. Richard’s messages frequently got to the heart of irritations, confusions and all the fantasies and exaggerated expectations out there in the fandom. Doubtlessly it’s getting even more unclearly in RA-blogworld in the future. Therefore we’ll do well in heeding the slogan you choose and all be good leaners (!) and try to be respectful and helpful towards each other. We definitely want to see our gorgeous Thorin again as soon as possible, don’t we??
Hi Snicker’s Mom,
Well said! I normally don’t post on Tuesdays, but your simply elegant post today also makes me want to share it. So, I’m reblogging you for Tuesday.
Cheers! Grati ;->

This is why I’m a fan of this man. Not only is he a gifted actor, but an amazing model of a human being. His caring, selfless nature accentuates and enhances his intelligence.
I’m sure we will all endeavor to follow his wishes and ‘get along’ with sincere kindness.
I have never read this before, thank you reminding us all on why we love and admire this truly expectional man. He is simply a angel from heaven.

Hmm, that didn’t work to well, but I did link to it.
My two cents (sense lols) agree
I thought long and hard about adding a post to the ones that have caused concern recently and in the end decided that (1) the individual who causes problems is only that, an individual, with her own very strong views and that (2) there is so much love and support from so many others who move around the blogs that no reply was needed or warranted. Thank you to you all.
Thank you for posting Richard’s message – I haven’t seen it before. (I made it here via Judi’s blog)

Thanks Hi Snicker’s Mom for posting this lovely message from Richard. I think I have read it before, but I’m not sure.
I’m sorry if my question is “stupid” but I would like to re-blog your post on my blog but I don’t know how to do it.
Can somebody explain that to me please ? Thank you.
Hi April,
You could do a little introduction in a new essay post for your blog. And then paste Snicker’s Mom’s blog post link address (for this particular post) into your essay. You can also save and then upload her graphic. Then publish it. Et voila!
Cheers! Grati ;->
I am at work so I can’t check on the computer but there should be a press this button that would allow you to reblog. If not you can do as grati said.
Thanks for information Gratiana and Snicker’s Mom.
I have reblogger this on April’s violet here :

Sorry, I don’t know how to make the link with just my blog’s name.
I have sometimes technical difficulties using my blog, lol.
Thanks Snickers Mom for giving a poignant reminder that enjoyment, fun, love and supporting each other is a powerful positive.
This is good. The best way to deal with the situation. Good for the bloggers – copying it to their sites.
Thank you for repeating and spreading the message, now when we most need it.

Thank you for posting this, Snicker’s Mom. I am definitely supporting the idea of keeping a positive, fun, and caring environment as fans of his.
